A weekly check-in on the Banjo versus TV project — J.R.'s resolution to spend more time in 2008 on his banjo than on TV. This post covers 9/30/2008 through 10/6/2008.

In anticipation of the short-neck banjo I'm working on, I've been creating some right-hand-only practice drills. So I've turned to the best source materials I can think of: bugle calls.
Also in the last week:
- I purchased the Old-Time String Band Songbook hoping to find some good tunes and I found a lot more than that. It's a really nicely-documented history of many tunes with a nicely complete set of lyrics. Highly recommended.
- I put my question about inlay placement to the Banjo Hangout Forum in the thread "Why are banjo inlays located where they are?"
