A slightly TV-heavy week on the banjo versus TV scale (5 hrs 26 min versus 7 hrs 25 min), but what can you expect from a week that has the finale of Any Dream Will Do and the season's first non-audition episodes of American Idol? Still, it seems a let-down after last week's Midwest Banjo Camp blowout.

- I've been giving some thought to my practice regimen. After reading a discussion of practice routings at Banjo Hangout, I ordered up a copy of the DVD Tony Trischka's Essential Practice Techniques for Bluegrass Banjo.
