Banjo versus TV: Week 42

A weekly check-in on the Banjo versus TV project — J.R.'s resolution to spend more time in 2008 on his banjo than on TV. This post covers 10/14/2008 through 10/20/2008. And it's five weeks overdue. You want some catch-up with that Tofurky?
Banjo 285 hrs, TV 249 hours

This week I worked on my sawed-off banjo. I'll start posting about my sawed-off soon using this tag: sawed-off banjo.

Also in the last week:

  • Denise (Age 4) is studying the violin under the Suzuki method. I picked up copies of her Suzuki books so I could work up some accompaniment. Maybe when we see each other for Christmas we'll be able to do a duet of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
  • I went to the jam at Costello's in Chicago. I did better than I thought I would, banjo-wise. I also wound up singing a lot more than I thought I would. It's a good jam. If you're in Chicago on a first or third Sunday of the month you should join us.
